PROJECT OVERVIEW:
We recently supplied a local platinum mine in the North-West region with a much more efficient and improved solution for their truck inspection bay.
PROBLEM:
The existing installation was not providing enough light, as you can see in the “before” photo, which meant that their security officers couldn’t perform the necessary truck inspections. We quickly realised that there were not enough fittings installed, and this was causing the shadows that obscured the security officers’ vision. What’s more, the lack of sufficient light led to loss of product due to theft.
SOLUTION:
The lux requirement was high, so we suggested the use of two types of fittings namely: BEKA LEDNOVA Midi 32/70W Optic 5068 and BEKA OPTIWAY Bulkhead 13W Optic 1300 Wall mount version. We then created a lighting design to optimise the lumens distributed by these luminaires, and the lighting was installed accordingly. As you can see in the “after” photo, the improvement was significant which meant that the security officers could now perform their inspection.
