1000Watt Metal Halide Highbay light fittings? Now, that just won’t do. When a local platinum mine needed a new lighting solution for their winder house, we stepped up to the plate.
THE PROBLEM:
High roofs offer a great sense of space and even add an air of magnificence to any architectural design. But what very few people think about is the challenge it poses to maintenance and installations. That’s why we knew we needed to propose a reliable luminaire that will last longer and require little maintenance. Of course, there was the added challenge of lux levels, as moving machinery requires certain level for safety reasons – and it was essential that the chosen luminaires work with a driver to prevent strobing, especially in an area with moving machinery.
THE SOLUTION:
But as you know by now, we never say no to a challenge! Through our lighting analysis and design, we identified the OMNIStar Maxi 451W Optic 2259 Suspended version as the ideal solution for this application. In fact, you will see in the photos that the luminaire emits uniform lighting, leaving no dark spots. This ensures a safer working environment not only for the winder drivers, but also for the artisans attending to the machinery on foot. A win-win-win for everyone!
