Project Overview:
A local chrome plant in the North-West region needed an upgraded light ing solution – and the difference was like day and night!
The Problem:
The existing lighting just wasn’t cutting it, and poor lighting conditions were creating safety issues – even resulting in a number of accidents. When we checked out the existing installation, we found that it consisted of old HID luminaires which weren’t the correct colour temperature for the cameras to function optimally, and this was making the security team’s job nearly impossible.
The Solution:
We jumped into action and looked at the existing setup to plot ways to improve it. We instantly noticed how dusty the area was, and we realised that we would need to install a lighting solution that could penetrate the dust to improve visibility. After careful planning and plotting, we suggested 4 x BEKA LEDFlood Midi 138W Optic 5068 on a 12mtr mast.
Why? Because we knew it would provide a very symmetrical lighting distribution, and therefore offer a good level of uniformity.
