PROJECT OVERVIEW:
As we know, darkness provides the perfect veil for crime.
When a local platinum mine in the North West province continued to experience cable theft, we decided to look into ways to increase lighting in the area.
PROBLEM:
It was instantly apparent to us that the low lighting and poor visibility in this area made it nearly im possible for a security guard to keep watch night.
What’s more, the height of the silo structures en closing this area made lighting a challenge, so we knew we would have to pull out all the stops!
SOLUTION:
The height of the structure called for the BEKA LEDFlood Maxi 265W Optic 5355. We installed three luminaires on the silos to illuminate this area, and the results were instantly noticeable!
The client was incredibly happy with the update, as the security guards now feel safe to do inspections at night and have clearer visibility of this once dark section.
