Underground? Really? Why, yes – in fact, it’s an area that we often work in, given that it needs a lot of intricate lighting design. Recently, a local chrome mine invited us to go underground and inspect a new developed area for a proposal on lighting.
Problem:
When a mine has a decline shaft, vehicles tend to drive in and out from underground. It’s therefore essential to have a well-lit service workshop where these vehicles can be maintained and repaired as needed.
Solution:
Our team jumped to work to help them setup a maintenance station with sufficient lighting to get the job done. Considering that the control voltage for underground is 110V, we selected the BEKA LEDNova Midi 70Watt Optic 5304W with a Universal Driver to accommodate the voltage.
This is just one of many examples of innovative lighting design that led (pun intended) to a happy customer.
