During this exciting tour, our client had the opportunity to witness firsthand how BEKA Shréder’s extensive range of high-quality LED luminaires are locally designed and manufactured. BEKA Shréder’s host, Pieter van Aardt, who manages the Research and Development Department for BEKA Shréder, explained why these luminaires are best suited for African conditions (hint: the quality and longevity is unmatched!)
Our clients also explored the Glass Fibre Reinforced Polyester (GRP) pole manufacturing facility and were taken through every stage of BEKA Shréder’s rigorous production process. With each step, Pieter explained what makes BEKA Schréder Africa’s leading manufacturer of Luminaires and Glass Fibre Reinforced polyester (GRP) Poles.
Furthermore, BEKA Shréder has dedicated testing rooms, including an IP rating facility and a glass impact strength testing area. A highlight is the dark room, where photometric data is collected to tailor lighting designs for specific applications, ensuring high-quality, durable products. Here we see how the BEKA Shréder lighting designs are used to manufacture specific and unique applications for customers. To end off the visit, Pieter shared BEKA Shréder’s Solar offering as well as what to focus on when looking at Solar in terms of reliability and durability.
